The San Antonio AI Visibility Index

What is the San Antonio AI Visibility Index?

The San Antonio AI Visibility Index is a measurement program from Deep AI Solutions, a Texas-based company serving San Antonio and the broader Texas market. It answers one question with real data: when someone asks an AI assistant to recommend a business in San Antonio, does yours come up?

We run each business through five AI systems — ChatGPT (OpenAI), Claude (Anthropic), Gemini (Google), Grok (xAI), and Perplexity — and score the results with the AIR Score, a trademark of Deep AI Solutions Inc. It is a composite 0-100 measure of three things:

  • Mention — does the AI know your business exists?
  • Recommendation — does it actively suggest you when asked for a provider?
  • Sentiment — when it talks about you, is it positive, neutral, or wrong?

This is not a marketing pitch dressed up as a study. The scoring methodology is live today at our national AI Visibility Index, which publishes real multi-engine scan data for HVAC and plumbing businesses nationwide.

How is the AIR Score measured?

The methodology is deliberately simple and repeatable:

  • We query all five AI engines with the prompts a real customer would use — "best [service] near me," "who should I call for [problem] in San Antonio," and direct questions about the business by name.
  • We record whether the business is mentioned, whether it is recommended, and the sentiment of what the engine says.
  • Those signals roll up into a single 0-100 AIR Score per business.

Houston, the national index, and San Antonio all use the same 0-100 AIR Score methodology. That is the point of an index: one yardstick, applied consistently.

Why five engines and not just ChatGPT? Because customers are spread across all of them. Roughly 1 in 3 U.S. adults now uses an AI chatbot at least weekly (Pew Research via iQDigital, 2026), and Google AI Overviews appear in roughly half of Google searches (D&D SEO Services, 2026). A business can look fine in one engine and be invisible in another — the composite score catches that.

What did the Houston study find?

Our published Houston AI Visibility Index study measured businesses across the Houston metro and found a metro-wide median AIR Score of 31/100.

Read that plainly: on a 0-100 scale, the median Houston business scored 31 — less than a third of the possible score for mention, recommendation, and sentiment across the five engines.

We cite the Houston number here for what it demonstrates — the measurement works, and the baseline for a large Texas metro is low. It is not a claim about San Antonio. San Antonio has not been scored at metro scale yet, and we will not publish a San Antonio number until we have measured one. When we do, it will come from the same AIR Score methodology that produced the Houston result, not from an estimate.

Are there San Antonio scores yet?

Not yet — and we would rather say that plainly than invent a number.

Here is the honest state of the market. San Antonio has SEO agencies adding AEO service pages — Funnel Boost Media runs a dedicated AEO San Antonio page, and shops like Southtown Web Design and Beast Creative Agency sell AI-search services. What no San Antonio player has is a dedicated AI visibility hub backed by a published, measured index. That is the gap this site exists to close.

The first San Antonio measurement wave is open now. Any San Antonio business can be scored on request using the same AIR Score methodology behind the national index. Early participants get their AIR Score free, see exactly what all five engines say about them, and establish a dated baseline before their competitors do.

Run your free scan now — it takes minutes, and it is the same scan that feeds the index.

Why does San Antonio need its own index?

Because the market is big, growing, and unmeasured.

  • San Antonio reached roughly 1,513,974 residents in 2025, up 9.3% from the 2020 Census, and added 23,945 residents from 2023 to 2024 — the 4th-most of any U.S. city (World Population Review; U.S. Census Bureau via Axios San Antonio).
  • Roughly 53,000 small businesses operate in Bexar County (Bexar County Small Business and Entrepreneurship Dept). How many of them know what AI assistants say about them?
  • The city is also the largest U.S. cybersecurity hub outside Washington, D.C. (Greater SATX via Community Impact, 2025) — a tech-literate market where AI-first search habits will land early.

From Stone Oak medical and dental offices to the Pearl and Broadway corridor, Alamo Heights, and the fast-growing New Braunfels I-35 corridor, thousands of businesses compete for the same AI recommendations. Demand for this discipline is accelerating: "AI SEO" pulls 6,600-8,100 U.S. searches a month, up 84% year over year, and "GEO agency" is up 1,850% year over year (SE Ranking via WebPossible; Google Keyword Planner via SEO Strategy study). An index turns that noise into a scoreboard.

What moves an AIR Score up?

The levers are known and measurable:

  • Organic search presence. 71.7% of ChatGPT citations come from pages with organic search presence (GrowingAI, 2026). AI visibility builds on search visibility — it does not replace it. See SEO vs AI visibility in San Antonio.
  • FAQ schema. FAQ-schema content is cited roughly 3x more often in Google AI Overviews (iQDigital, 2026).
  • Freshness. Pages untouched for about 90 days see measurably fewer AI citations (iQDigital, 2026). A stale site is a fading site.
  • Bing indexing. ChatGPT's search-grounded answers run against the Bing index. Not indexed in Bing means not citable by ChatGPT — a common, fixable failure.

Frequently asked questions

What is the AIR Score?

The AIR Score, a trademark of Deep AI Solutions Inc, is a composite 0-100 score measuring mention, recommendation, and sentiment across five AI systems: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, and Perplexity. It answers whether AI assistants know your business, recommend it, and describe it accurately — one number per business, produced by the same AIR Score methodology that powers our live national index.

Are San Antonio AI visibility rankings published yet?

No. We have not scored San Antonio at metro scale, and we will not publish rankings until real measurement exists. The AIR Score methodology is live today — it powers the national AI Visibility Index at deepaivisibility.com and our published Houston study. San Antonio businesses can be scored on request now, and early participants form the first measurement wave.

What did the Houston AI Visibility Index study find?

Our published Houston AI Visibility Index study found a metro-wide median AIR Score of 31/100 — on a 0-100 scale, the median Houston business scored less than a third of the possible score. We cite it as evidence the measurement works and that the baseline in a large Texas metro runs low, not as a claim about San Antonio scores.

Why does AI visibility matter for a San Antonio business?

Roughly 1 in 3 U.S. adults uses an AI chatbot at least weekly (Pew Research via iQDigital, 2026), and Google AI Overviews appear in about half of Google searches (D&D SEO Services, 2026). With roughly 53,000 small businesses in Bexar County competing for those recommendations, the businesses AI engines name first capture customers the rest never see.

How is this different from what San Antonio SEO agencies offer?

San Antonio agencies like Funnel Boost Media, Southtown Web Design, and Beast Creative Agency are SEO shops adding AEO service pages. None publishes a measured AI visibility index. We lead with measurement: a live multi-engine national index, a published Houston study, and a free scanner you can run yourself before spending a dollar.

How do I improve my AIR Score?

Four proven levers: build organic search presence, since 71.7% of ChatGPT citations come from pages with organic presence (GrowingAI, 2026); add FAQ schema, cited about 3x more in AI Overviews (iQDigital, 2026); keep content fresh, since pages untouched about 90 days lose AI citations (iQDigital, 2026); and confirm Bing indexing, because ChatGPT's search answers run on the Bing index.

How much does the San Antonio AI visibility service cost?

The scan and your initial AIR Score are free. Ongoing service runs month-to-month with no setup fee: Signal at $1,299/mo, Authority at $2,999/mo, and Dominance at $5,999/mo. Start with the free scanner at deepaivisibility.com or call +1-281-937-3337 to review your results first.
